Delicious drink with amazing virtues, the golden milk is a full of antioxidants beverage. It helps relieve colds, flu, and sore throat, but it’s also good for articulations and digestion. It’s a natural antiseptic, soothing, that helps staying zen, gives a glowing complexion and protects from external aggressions, as pollution, cold weather or sun.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t repair cars, it doesn’t turn you wealthy and it doesn’t bring back the one you love…
- 4 tsp of turmeric
(powder or fresh grated)
- 1 tsp of Timut pepper
(or black pepper)
- 1 tsp of fresh grated ginger
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 tsp of coconut oil or ghee
- 1/2 cup of spring water
For 1 cup of golden milk
- 1 cup of almond, hazelnut or soy milk
- 1 tsp of honey (optional)
Prepare the turmeric paste : pour the turmeric, the pepper, the fresh grated ginger, the cinnamon, the coconut oil (or ghee) and the water in a pan. Heat for a few minutes over low heat, stirring constantly, until it turns into a smooth paste.
Let cool and set aside in the fridge, in an airproof container.
To prepare the golden milk, heat the vegetal milk of your choice with a tsp of turmeric paste, stirring constantly to mix well. Don’t bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add the honey if needed, and a pinch of cinnamon.
