Chocolate and Zucchini Cake

In the serie “How to make children eat vegetables without even realizing it, and still enjoy it yourself”, here is undoubtedly the top one!

Mellow, melting and without fat…


For 6 people

  • 200g (7 oz) of chocolate for pastry
  • 3 eggs
  • 80g (1/2 cup) of sugar
  • 200g (7 oz) of zucchini
  • 70g (2/3 cup) of flour
  • 1 heaping tsp of yeast
  • 1 pinch of salt

Melt the chocolate in a bain marie.

In a bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar until the mixture whitens, then add the melted chocolate.

Peel the zucchini, grate them and add them to the mixture.

Lastly, add the flour, the yeast and the salt, and mix until smooth.

Pour in a buttered or oiled cake mold, and bake in oven 25 minutes at 180 °C (356°F).
