Mahalepi, Lebanese pudding with orange blossom

Almost a taste of summer, a soft but not too sweet dessert with delicate and oriental orange blossom flavors, which will delight little ones as their elders…

For 4 people

  • 250ml (1 cup) of milk
  • 250ml (1 cup) of whole liquid cream
  • 40g (3 tbsp) of sugar
  • 30g (1/4 cup) of cornflour
  • 50ml (1/4 cup) of orange blossom water
  • unsalted pistachios

In a pan, heat the milk with the sugar over low heat.

In a bowl, beat the cream with the cornflour. Pour over time the mix in the hot milk, stirring with a whisk.
Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
Continue the stirring for a little while. Then, add the orange blossom water.

Pour in the small jars and let cool.

Sprinkle with crushed pistachios and set aside in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.
