Little come back in Asia, to make tigers cry and incidentally, our taste buds also.
We like to use flank steak in this recipe, but one can also replace it with beef filet.
For 4 people
- 120g of flank steak / person
- baby greens salad
- 1 lime
- ginger, Garlic, red chilli pepper
- 1 spring onion
- coriander, chives, thai basil
- a handful of peanuts
- 4 tbsp of sweet soy sauce
- 5 tbsp of spring roll sauce
- 1 tbsp of nuoc mam
- 5 tbsp of water
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of agave syrup
- 4 tbsp of sesame oil
Mix the sweet soy sauce with 2 tbsp of sesame oil, a piece of ginger and a garlic clove both chopped, allow the meat to marinate for one to two hours.
Crush the peanuts. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix the spring roll sauce, the nuoc mam, the lime juicethe water, the soy sauce, the agave syrup and 2 tbsp of sesame oil. Chop a piece of ginger, one or two garlic cloves, red chilli pepper (according to your taste), the spring onion, chives and thaï basil finely chopped. Add in the bowl.
Grill the meat until very rare or rare.
Cut it into thin slices and add it into the bowl. Mix.
Arrange the baby greens salad on the plates, place the meat and the sauce above, then sprinkle with the crushed peanuts and some coriander leaves.
